Connecticut has followed suit, after several states in our region have acted to prevent the spread COVID-19 coronavirus, by declaring a civil preparedness and public health emergency.
Although there have been only two confirmed cases in the state, recent action by New York to create a “containment area” around New Rochelle where Governor Cuomo has dispatched the National Guard to deliver food to homes and to help with the cleaning of public spaces, helped prompt action in Connecticut.
With only two confirmed cases of the virus in the state, it is clear that the steps taken today by the Governor are precautionary. This is clearly a time for preparedness and not panic!
